Yilu was built in 1921-1923 by Jin Yune, commander of the 14th Division of Wu Peifu's direct warlord. Sitting at the junction of the Yangshang District and the Mission District, located on the cliff of Jinshan between the South and North streets, 788 meters above sea level, and the north-south confrontation with Bao Xiaofeng, is the most distinctive and premier building in the Jigong Mountain. Among the many villas, it is like "standing above the chickens", reflecting the traditional Chinese concept of square and dignified.
Yilu is a four-story Western mixed structure, reflecting the Chinese traditional "square and dignified" characteristics. The lower three floors are surrounded by granite corridors. The fourth layer is the reinforced concrete structure poured on the third layer, and there are two unique and bell-shaped tower pavilions on the roof, which appear resplendent and dazzling against the sun. Standing on the roof, the beautiful scenery of Jigong Mountain is unobstructed, the peaks are green, and the villa community can be seen. The Yilu is the most striking building in the villa cluster. It shows the wisdom and superb architectural art of Chinese intellectuals and working people.
